Its anchor restaurant, JARANA, is open for lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays at The Abbey, and it functions as the district's evening draw. During the day, the same buildings run a different program: The Abbey is built around the rhythm of a modern day — an early workout at Anatomy, a healthy lunch at Sweetgreen, an afternoon at Industrious, and dinner at STK. That morning-to-night sequence, all inside one campus, is new to Aventura at this scale.
154 Plaza and points west. A Family, an Argentinian concept, will launch in 154 Plaza, giving the plaza another dinner option beyond the existing lineup. A few blocks away, Bulla Gastrobar has officially arrived in Aventura, bringing modern Spanish dining to the neighborhood and continuing the legacy that began in Coral Gables. And on April 8, 2026, Crema Gourmet celebrated the grand opening of its Aventura location, welcoming guests to experience the café's all-day dining concept, which slots neatly into the morning gap that used to send residents to the mall for coffee.

Aventura Mall, Still Moving

Founders Park, In Its Summer Configuration
Founders Park runs on a different calendar than the rest of the neighborhood. From roughly June through August it is a splash pad first and a park second.
The Founders Park SplashPad is open daily during summer from 10 AM to 6 PM, a zero-depth water zone with spray loops and water jets. It is free for Aventura residents with ID, with fees applying for non-residents at around $10 entry plus park admission. Two implications worth knowing:
- The gate policy has tightened. The northern half of the park is now for residents only, so bringing a visiting family from out of town works better as a Waterways Park plan than a Founders Park plan.
- The soccer program has changed. Artificial turf soccer fields are now in place, and the park hosts live music and community events. If you play a Tuesday adult league, the surface underfoot is not the one you learned the field on.
For anyone new to the park, the general layout still holds: the northern section is for Aventura residents only, with a welcome center, a quarter-mile four-station exercise trail, an ADA accessible playground, sun shelters, tennis courts, and a multipurpose athletic field for baseball, softball, football or soccer. The community garden that used to sit inside the park has been redeveloped for sports use, so the waitlist you may remember from a few years ago is no longer the operating reality.
The Arts Center's 15th Season Is A Summer Story
The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center at 3385 NE 188th Street is easy to forget in July because most of its subscription programming lives in the cooler months. This year is different. The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is marking the 15th Anniversary of bringing entertainment to the City of Excellence, and the anniversary programming is spilling into the summer calendar, with dated events in early and mid-June before the schedule resumes in the fall.

- Free parking is available in the lots adjacent to the venue in front of the Aventura Community Recreation Center and the Aventura City of Excellence School, with valet service for ticketed events at $20 per vehicle. The valet line at showtime is genuinely worth the twenty dollars on a rainy night; the walk from the far end of the recreation center lot is longer than it looks on a map.
- The Aventura Broadway Concert Series subscription for 2026/2027 is already listed on the venue's site, which means the fall lineup is bookable now and tends to sell out from returning subscribers before it opens to single-ticket buyers.
A Weeknight In Aventura, Actually Mapped

- If it is a Founders Day weekend, swap the mall lap for the shuttle to Gulfstream Park.
